2008 Summer Camp "Handle With Care"
The summer theme will be explored each morning before breakfast to start the day, as an entire camp community; through group worship and Bible Quest time
at 9:15am in age-appropriate small groups with discussion and interactive learning; and during evening vespers in the outdoor chapel.
Sunday: Genesis 2:4b-23 Explore the story of God creating the first garden and be invited into relationship with God and with each other to learn to care for God's creation.
Monday: Genesis 1:1-25 Today, explore the way in which God created order out of chaos and hear about the goodness of God's creation.
Tuesday: Genesis 6:11-9:17 We will explore ways we keep and break promises with God, creation, and others.
Wednesday: Luke 12:13-32 How do we put up barriers to trusting in God's provision for all creation and how do these fears affect our lives of faith?
Thursday: Matthew 25:14-30 Let's identify the gifts God has given us and consider ways we can be faithful stewards in caring for creation.
Friday: Mark 16:9-20 How do we proclaim, in word and action, the new life revealed to us in Christ, which is good news for all of creation?
