Senior Just Camp
You've asked for it... here it is. Two weeks at Camp Westminster during some of the favorite weeks of the summer! This is the session that does it all: ropes, water activities, river trip, special meals, Lumberjack Day, breakfast in bed, night fun and lots of community-building because you are here for 2 weeks straight.
Sailing Regatta
This week of camp is for those who are excellent swimmers and have experience sailing. Time will be focused primarily in practice on Higgins Lake. Plan to maximize water time with all sorts of sailing challenges!
Leadership Development
[Year 2 of the Leadership Track]
(Note: You do NOT have to complete Pre-Leadership to participate in Leadership Development Training.)
For over 16 years, Camp Westminster's Leadership Development Training has given youth invaluable skills for the future. If you desire life challenge, growth in your faith, responsibility and hard work, this is for you. Learn how to work with children and community-building techniques. CW needs leaders with camp skills! Conquer the Team Challenge and High Ropes Courses and embark on an outtrip. Cover skills such as packing, map reading, cooking, paddling, tent setup and more. Above all, be challenged to deeper faith exploration! Go home with new friends you'll keep in touch with for a lifetime (just ask some of our alumni...) Guided by a dedicated staff chosen for their example as servant leaders, they will push you to strengthen the abilities God gave you.
Westminster Service Corps I & II (2 weeks each session)
Is God calling you to service this summer? Experience CW behind the scenes! WSC is designed to maximize your servant leadership potential! Spend 2 of 3 sessions (about 2 hours per session) each day working on special projects around camp (maintaining trails, building campfires, building projects, signs, setting up evening programs and more!). Be ready to do what it takes. But all work and no play doesn't fulfill God's plan...we also want you to work on your sailing, climbing, crafting, nature or other skills- that is what the 3rd session is for!
Westminster to the World- Expedition to Iona, Scotland
"A trip of a lifetime..." "An unforgettable experience..."
"A rare opportunity..."
These are some of the phrases leaders-in-training used to describe their pilgrimage to the island of Iona in Scotland. Journey by plane, train, bus and ferry to a breathtaking abbey in the Hebrides Islands for a week of living in an intentional community. Gather for worship, meals, chores, hikes and lots of reflection with people of all ages from around the world.
This is offered as the capstone piece to the leadership track, but any student who has completed 11th or 12th grade may go!
