Leadership Track
So, are you ready for the Leadership Track at Camp Westminster?
You do not need to complete Year 1 to attend Year 2, 3 or 4.
If you cannot attend Pre-Leadership or Leadership Development, please consider WSC!

YEAR 1 Pre-Leadership Development Training (age 15 or completed 9th grade)
Spend time at CW exploring the qualities of a servant leader and then put those qualities to test on a 3-day outtrip along the Au Sable River. Small group discussion will focus on leadership, personal reflections, and how a growing faith can guide you through life's challenges. Will you rise to the challenge and embark on the leadership track at Camp Westminster? Come and see what God has in store for you.

YEAR 2 Leadership Development Training (ages 16-17 or completed 10-12th grades)
NOTE: Campers may register for this camp even if they have not attended YEAR 1.
For over 16 years, Camp Westminster's Leadership Development Training has given youth invaluable skills for the future. If you desire life challenge, growth in your faith, responsibility and hard work, this is for you. Learn how to work with children and acquire community-building techniques. Conquer the Team Challenge and High Ropes Courses and embark on a wilderness trip hiking and paddling the Manistee River. Cover skills such as packing, map reading, cooking, paddling, tent setup and more. Above all, be challenged to deeper faith exploration! New for 2011: an added focus on career and calling, using a new guide developed specifically for camps! Go home with new friends you'll keep in touch with for a lifetime (just ask some of our alumni...) Guided by a dedicated staff chosen for their example as servant leaders, they will push you to strengthen the abilities God gave you.
YEAR 3 & 4 Westminster Service Corps (ages 16-18)
Is God calling you to service this summer? Experience CW behind the scenes! WSC is designed to maximize your servant leadership potential! Spend about 4 hours each day working on special project around camp. Assist with activity preparation, beautification projects, the Recycling Center, and more! Be ready to work hard and do what it takes to make camp fun for the campers! But all work and no play doesn't fulfill God's plan...Spend the other activity times working on your climbing, paddling, sailing or other skills- we need leaders with skills! (Note: This time can count toward community service hours needed for your school, etc. Just ask- we'll help with the paperwork!)
YEAR 4 Westminster to the World (ages 17-18)
"A trip of a lifetime..." "An unforgettable experience..." "A rare opportunity..."
These are some of the phrases leaders-in-training used to describe their pilgrimage to the island of Iona in Scotland. Journey by plane, train, bus and ferry to a breathtaking abbey in the Hebrides Islands for a week of living in an intentional community. Gather for worship, meals, chores, hikes and lots of reflection with people of all ages from around the world.
This is offered as the capstone piece to the leadership track, but any student who has completed 11th or 12th grade may go.
