Greetings from the small island of Iona, off the west coast of Scotland! Westminster to the World is here- living as part of an authentic, Christian community, worshipping, working, playing and learning. Our time here is partly indescribable… one of incredible growth, personal discovery, healing and relationship. We have been blessed by watching our campers serve communion in the Abbey; clean, prepare food and do capers (of course, they aren’t called capers here…just tasks); pray for one another; welcome youth from other countries; explore the incredible natural beauty of the island; and laugh together! The group sang in Fingal’s Cave, on the island of Staffa, about 6 miles north of Iona. A gorgeous sunny day allowed a boat trip to the island and the cave has incredible acoustics. Can you guess which song the group sang for all who were near to listen? (Apparently our group was the topic of conversation for the rest of the visitors…)
