Camp Westminster received a generous grant from the Worthington Family Foundation. This summer, campers participated in a nature program designed to teach them about the ecology of Higgins Lake. They learned about native and invasive species in Higgins Lake, the history and formation of the lake, and were able to do some water testing of our very own swim area. We then used the American Camp Association Youth Outcomes Battery to determine the effect the program had on campers’ appreciation for the environment. We are looking forward to continuing the program next year.
