A Large Community of Support

In the documentary about the life of Naturalist, Explorer, and Writer John Muir, the filmmaker highlights the influence of mentors on Mr. Muir’s life. Each one provided various kinds of support through words of encouragement, career suggestions, companionship, and even an introduction to his future wife. It is clear that these mentors had a profound impact on his life and guided him on the path to accomplish his great achievements. At summer camp, it is our goal to be a source of support for the campers. We are part of the community made up of parents, extended family members, teachers, and coaches behind each of these children who, like John Muir, will also accomplish great things in their lifetimes.***Activity: Jump rope while singing your favorite Camp Westminster song.
